Clouds formed in Sydney, Australia, in 1989, and secured a contract with Red
Eye Records. Their original line-up was:
David Easton replaced Robert Phelan on guitar in 1990, and drummers have been changed twice, with Andrew Byrne taking over from Stuart Eadie in early 1992 and then Raphael Whittingham (Raf) joining the Clouds in late 1992.
In 1996 Ben Nightingale replaced David Easton on guitar and finally in January 1997 Clouds became a short-lived 3-piece band when Ben left. The Clouds announced their split-up in May 1997 and played their final gig on 22 June 1997 in Brisbane.
The Clouds were undoubtedly one of Australia's finest alternative rock/pop groups of the 1990's. What a shame it all came to an end!
These discographies lists all known Clouds releases. Compilations containing Clouds
tracks or collaborations with other artists are not included.
